A graduate of this program will be equipped with the demonstrated, practical knowledge necessary to rapidly become a productive employee whose duties include the setup, configuration and maintenance of small to large-scale networks. This includes the definition, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructures as well as the assurance of their integrity in the face of ever- growing threats. These skills will be further augmented by the practical experience in diagnosis and process improvement gained through the application of principles in the classroom.
The program requires prior knowledge typical of an undergraduate Network Systems degree. Students with an inadequate background will be required to take as many as six additional core courses as part of their plan of study. Because the Graduate School at UNH offers courses on a trimester schedule, you can complete the 30-credit program in 12-16 months. If remedial coursework is necessary, a full two years of study may be needed.
