Charles Lieberman served as a member of the NYPD from 1990 through 2005, where he spent more than a decade engaged in criminal investigations working with the Organized Crime Control and Detective Bureaus. His primary areas interest and research include criminal investigations, policing & terrorism. Dr. Lieberman has been involved with the New York City Police Leadership Certificate Program at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, teaching a graduate level counter-terrorism course designed for members of the New York City Police Department, and the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Law Enforcement Executive Institute (LEEI), teaching high ranking supervisory members of numerous law enforcement agencies from New York State.
