The University of New Haven strongly encourages its students, faculty, and staff to carpool or take advantage of public transportation to get to and from the campus. Students who wish to carpool can set up rides with other students on the university's Blackboard Academic Suite. Faculty and staff are encouraged to use Rideworks, a New Haven-based commuter and carpool service, and other shared ride services. Public transportation is also available with Connecticut Public Transit, Shoreline East rail service, and MetroNorth.
