Body

West Haven, Conn., Jan. 21, 2009 - Faculty and students from the University of New Haven's Tagliatela College of Engineering may soon be providing information to local and federal governments about new solar water heating technologies.

Administrators from the College are in talks with Poulsen Hybrid, LLC, based in Shelton, CT, to have UNH become a test site for the company's Solar Water Heating System. The university would provide a laboratory space for the system for installation and demonstration purposes, while students would benefit from direct faculty advising in the facility and paid internships. Students and faculty would conduct tests, analyze and interpret data, and report findings to local and federal government agencies.
