Professor Robinson is a lawyer, author, educator, and journalist. He practiced law in Massachusetts from 1977 to 2008 and now practices law in Connecticut. He has argued cases in front of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit (the First Circuit includes Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Puerto Rico, and Rhode Island), and other courts and agencies. He holds the distinction of having taught ethics in both law school and business school. He was an adjunct professor of law at Western New England College (WNEC) School of Law in the 1970s and 1980s (teaching legal ethics and the course entitled The Legal Profession), a visiting lecturer at Westfield (MA) State College (where he taught labor relations), a senior lecturer at WNEC School of Business from 2001 to 2005 (he taught undergraduate and graduate business law courses), and has taught at The University of New Haven (UNH) since 2005. At UNH he regularly teaches Business & Society, which is primarily a business ethics course he has also taught business law, human resources management, and the course entitled Communication and the Law. In the 1980s, worked as a TV legal commentator for WWLP-TV, Channel 22 in Springfield, MA. In 1986, he earned a diploma from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting.
