Q: Where is the Southeastern Center located?
A: The Southeastern Center is located at Mitchell College in New London, CT. The offices are in Mitchell Hall and the classes are held in the Nathan Hale Building.

Q: What is a "cohort"?
A: A cohort is a group of students who follow the same schedule for the duration of their degree program.

Q: What does "hassle free" mean?
A: For many of our programs (with the exception of the Master of Science in Education & Master of Science in Professional Education), we offer "hassle-free" degrees. This means that the cost of the program includes tuition, books, meals, and books. The same group of students (cohort) follows a set schedule and registers once for the entire program. Books are delivered to the student and they are fed during the class. Students pay online or by phone thereby avoiding lines at the Bursars office, and when they are ready to graduate, their cap and gown is delivered to class for commencement ceremonies.

     Saturdays (2 separate cohorts) 8:30 am - 3:30 pm for 22 months
     Mondays 2:30 pm - 9:30 pm for 22 months
     Tuesdays 2:30 pm - 9:30 pm for 22 months
     Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:30 - 8:30 pm
Master of Science in Engineering Management
     Mondays 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm for 24 months
Master of Science in Education
     Classes run Monday-Thursday for a 1 year internship, followed by 3 months of student teaching
Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management
     Wednesdays 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm trimester schedule for one year (four courses)
Graduate Certificate in Lean Six Sigma
     Tuesdays 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (phasing out)
     Wednesdays 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm for 3 years
Master of Arts in Industrial Organizational Psychology
     Saturdays 8:30 am - 3:30 pm for 22 months (Starting Fall 2008)
Graduate Certificate in Public Administration
     Saturdays 8:30 am - 3:30 pm  (Starting Fall 2008)
Master of Science in Professional Education (cohort-style, Starting Fall 2008)
     Classes will run Monday-Thursday

Q: Where do I send admission materials (application, letters of recommendation, resume, etc.)?
A: Please send all admission materials to the Southeastern Center in New London so we have a copy for our records and are able to track your admission into the University as efficiently as possible. The address to send documents to is below.

Q: Are all the courses taught in New London?
A: Yes, all the courses are offered in New London and taught by a combination of full time and adjunct professors. Note: Those interested in the Master of Science in Education please be advised that Secondary students take many subject-specific classes in West Haven. The Elementary students will be taught in full in New London.

Q: How many students are in New London?
A: There are approximately 250 students taking classes in New London, most of which are local working adults going to graduate school on a part-time accelerated schedule.
